1. woke up (waking up here near Sicamous was very smokey. Forest fires would have been only 45 minutes away from us. Is was sad not to see the beautiful scenery every morning.)
2. tarp on tent (neighbors must have said forcast for rain, but we never did get any)
3. going to three valley gap for breakfast. (we collected stickers from all the places that we went and here is Casey & Sara putting them on the roof topper. I loved the sun rays coming down, God's blessing for our trip)
4. Enchanted Forest (I have so many pictures from here. The kids loved it again this year. I love watching them run around and explore. Jada's favorite place this year was Little Miss Muffet.)
Say no Evil, Hear no Evil, See No Evil.
The ducks where eating right out of their hands. It was so fun to watch the ducks fight for the food. THey where fighting with the fish in the pond.
5. Got a bear (Sara had been asking to buy a teddy bear every place we went. Some as much as $50, and we kept saying NO, but we finally gave in and let her get a much more resonably prices one at the enchanted forest)
6. lunch subway sicamous
7. Go Karting (I had never been go karting and this was definelty on my to do list. It was so much fun. Everyone got to participate. Jada kept telling me to go faster. Eric got extra time since he was reallly into it. Sara really enjoyed it as well)
above is Eric.
below is Sara in the green & white car, and Casey in the black car.
8. D Dutchmen Dairy (this was amazing ice cream. we got to go back behind the building and they had the adult cows that you could see & pet, then the barn beside with the babies and you could pet them too, and they also had horses, peacock, llamas, pigs all to interact with for FREE. The ice cream wasnt free but it tasted so yummy. Made fresh right here in the building.)
Can you find the kids?
Sara of course, loved the horse again.
Eric petting the calf.
Here is the ice cream shop part. It was so busy, and it had so many flavors to choose from that it took us forever to get through there. Each freezer had 8 flavors and there where 3 freezers, so let me do some math . . . that makes 24 flavors to choose from. So what did we have, Jade=orange creamcicle, Eric=chocolate milkshake, Sara=peppermint patty, Casey=vanilla milkshake, Shayne=peppermint patty. I just had to phone Sara and ask her what flavours we had. She is the best at remembering. Sara is at Grandma & Grandpa Welk's for the week.)
9. suspension bridge (at Crazy Creek, this is a fun place to come. It has also expanded since last year as well. It is run by a Christian guy, so Sunday's are free entrance. We went on Monday. D'oh)
Last year this bridge freaked me out, but this year, the fear was concored so I could have some fun on it with the kids.
The little boardwalk down to the falls.
If you look through the trees, there is three hot pools that is part of Crazy Creek as well and we went swimming there twice.
Here are the falls that you walk over.
10. make supper (we actually went to a grocery store and bought some meat, potatoes, corn on the cob and cooked it back at Noah's. They provide two barbeques to be used by everyone, along with tables and chairs, microwave, coffee. It's great. Everyone appreciated a home cooked meal.) 11. Park (there was a park right below our tent site, so we let the kids have some down time to play and make friends.)
12. Swimming (oh at the hot pools. One pool is 86degrees, one is 102degrees, and one is 104degrees. then there is the cold pool plunge. Sara would jump into the cold plunge over and over again. It was freezing, glacier fed. Jada also started swimming on her own here. The water wings came off and away she went. She couldnt totally do it by herself, but it was great to see her start trying. This is a huge step for her since she doesnt like water being on her face and she was swimming underwater. Good job Jada. Again we didnt have the camera.)
13. sleep
